[Blindmath] Goodwill Boycott

Hey Justin

For my part, you are forgiven. You're a smart kid with ambition, and
we, as blind people everywhere, need people like you.
I think the sub minimum wage does not apply to people with academic
background and skill to work in a competitive and demanding positions
(I have had a few of those, and the wages have always been good, I
lost my very well-paid and important financial analyst position due to
cancer and having to move to Europe in 2006, otherwise I'd still be
employed in a relatively good position I believe, though the banking
crisis has made it very difficult to get a replacement job in that
sector).
I feel strongly that this has more to do with low wage "low skill" if
you will, jobs.
Whereas it is certainly important, at least to a point, I feel that
too often interest groups for disabled people are too busy asking for
donations and increased social wellfare rather than empowering their
members to live to their potential and work hard.
That being said, I do not know the NfB stance, oand whether this
attitude applies to that organization, so I am not making that claim.
I am also not going to comment further, as this is off-topic for this list.
I understand the oversight, since it is an NFB hosted list, fine.
I definitely provide you support for the fight, which is noble and
important I am sure, let's just discuss it elsewhere, if you please.
Cheers
-B
