[Blindmath] Using Bookshare for math books

Hi,
I usually don't read math books from Bookshare in braille format
- I tend to use DAISY version of the book (with images) because
some do have math problems.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Blindmath] Using Bookshare for math books

Does anyone use Bookshare to download math books? I have
downloaded math books from Bookshare, but they are translated
into literay braille, hence. The math problems themselves are
often not even in the document! Literary does not have the math
symbols!

If I use this textbook with a student, I think I will have to go
through, and enter the problems in one at a time, and the
graphics, in the geometry and charts reading units will also be
involved.

The book is available in Braille already, but is exorbitant

Is there a better way?

Oops! Forgot to mention that Scientific Notebook works with
Duxbury. You
do the work and set up the document in Scientific Notebook and
then open it
in Duxbury to tranlate it into Braille.

Is there a software that can easily scan and translate
mathematics into
Nemeth? Like print to Duxbury in one key stroke without having
to
recheck and adjust symbols. I could swear I read somewhere that
someone
was developing a software that would make math translation
easier with
 less errors.
I would appreciate any and all information.
 Thank you.
