I took Calculus II this semester and it was extremely difficult
to do certain problems and understand what the class was doing
because they used the TI84 and Mathematica.

As a TVI, I would find it extremely beneficial to high school
students
needing to graph equations. They would be able to receive the
same
instructions as their peers and have the same result throughout
the problem.
All of my students currently use View Plus's AGC, but the
software does not
seem to be as simple as the TI84. They are required to figure
out the
problem before they can enter the information into the graph
while their
peers plug in the equations directly.

Hello All,
Please comment on the Texas Instruments graphing calculator,
model TI84
Plus. Is it the primary scientific graphing calculator in US
school
districts for sighted students? Is there a demand or need for
this
calculator to be accessible to students who are visually
impaired/blind? Are
there math textbooks that contain problems to be solved with the
TI84 Plus?
Are there calculators made by other companies that compete with
Texas
Instruments? Thanks for any information.
