Then you need to do some other things:
Option 1: Before handing the file to the student, toggle all equation 
objects to LaTeX notation (select all and then press alt+backslash). 
Save the file when all equations are in LaTeX form and they should be 
able to read it (providing they know LaTeX notation). The student could 
write in LaTeX equations and the teacher can get the equations in normal 
print form by toggling those equations back to MathType.
Option 2: Using something like tiger software suite from ViewPlus create 
a Braille translation of the document and give the student the Braille 
file. This option would mean the student need not know LaTeX notation, 
but does mean that it would require a transcriber to produce a print 
copy if the student were to produce any equations.
