[Blindmath] Slope

I get positive 6, doing it in my head...is that what you get?

I have two sets of points, they are (2 over 3, 1 over 2) and (1 over 4, -2),
I know how to find slope, but no matter what I do I cant get the same slope
the book gets. Can somebody help me?
