[Blindmath] Pascal's Triangle in Braille?

Is there a reason why the triangle itself is necessary? What I mean is, 
can the student use the numbers written out in rows, or something like a 
binomial expantion to calculate them? If knowing the properties isn't 
necessary, and the student just needs to be able to do combinations, 
could they not just use the n choose r (NCR) formula to work it out? 
Just a couple of thoughts that might make things easier.
