If python is an acceptable alternative, but using a programming language
directly to do mathematical worksheets seems a little daunting, may
I recommend Sage. It's a free equivalent to Maple/Matlab/Mathematica/Whatever
and is programmable in python.
I have no idea as to its accessibility, but it can use the command line, and
it can run in a web browser (so no need to install software).
