Hi John, 

I'd like to give your R suggestion a try. Do you have a direct link where I
can download the calculator you are using? If not, please convey the name
and version number of your calculator, and I run a Google search for it. I'm
using Windows7 X64bit and most current version of JAWS.

You might also consider using one of the many fre maths or stats packages.
Octave, Maxima, and R for starters.

I haven't used anything but R for even the most simple calculations for over
five years. If your future involves more maths than stats, then Octave is
probably a better option though.

You could always resort to EXCEL of course.

If you have internet access you can use Google calculator. Just type your
expressions in the search box.
