[Blindmath] Math in your head

I was trying to start a seperate thread about math being non-visual and
that, IMO, being blind might even offer an advantage. Anyway, to adress
your question, is latex easy to learn. I'd say, no, it's not easy. But
then algebra isn't exactly easy either. Personally, I write all my latex
by hand. If I don't know how to do something I google it. There is a
free wikibook on learning latex. That's where I learned 90% of what I know.
The point I was trying to make in this thread was that while many
sighted people seem to think math is essentially a visual skill, it
isn't. I actually think this need many people have to do their math with
a pencil and paper instead of doing it in their heads is a significant
hinderance. There is such a thing as a "thought experiment". The better
you are at doing thought experiments, the better off you are.
