Hello to everybody at the Blind Math list!
I have a query and hope the knowledgible BlindMath community would be able to give a satisfactory answer.
Has anybody here tried the Fujitsu's ScanSnap SV600 scanning device for scanning and OCR using a software such as OpenBook of books (especilly bulky volumes) and other printed materials for use by a blind person? How good a job does this device do?
As most of you might have experienced, the scanning and OCR of thick books is often a very slow and laborious chore with the help of the common flatbed scanner. Often, the document needs a great deal of editing even after the OCR process.
So is Fujitsu's device a good enough solution?

Or, is there any other tried and tested workaround?
Regards.
Sincerely,
Saaqib
