I see that Mathtype can convert a word doc to a Daisy format. Would this be readable with a refreshable braille device? on a Mac? Laptop?

Ha anyone tried this?

What about Math player?

Yes. At the link in my previous email, it states: "MathPlayer 4 speaks, navigates, and brailles math with NV Access' NonVisual Desktop (NVDA) in Microsoft Word & PowerPoint. MathType is required for this capability."

Is it necessary to have MathType if all you're doing is reading equasions, not authoring them?

There is a tutorial that we created as part of the ETS MathML project. It exists as a Word document on the Design Science website at the link below:

r_Navigation_Tutorial.docx

Hope that helps,

Is there a good tutorial for using NVDA to read MathType equations in word?
