[BlindMath] SAT Screen Reader Practice Tests

This subject has been discussed in great depth on the Parents of Visually
Impaired Facebook Page this month so the concensus I have read is that there
are screen reader accessible practice tests for the main SAT and here is the
link.
https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/practice/full-length-practice-
test-assistive-technology

FYI - my son graduated in 2015 and this was not available in 2015. I
believe that although you can use a screen reader on the main SAT, at this
time they do not have that option for the subjects tests - you will need to
use a human reader or Braille. Parents were frustrated that their students
could use a screen reader for the main SAT but not the subject tests. I am
sure that this should be coming soon though. I just googled the
announcements and found that the screen reader version of SAT was first
available in March 2016. So if you want screen reader practice tests for
the main SAT the link is above - if for the subject tests I don't think they
are available yet. Call College Board or ask your testing coordinator to be
sure.

Here is the announcement: New for 2015-16

Begining with the October PSAT/NMSQT and March SAT, two new test formats
will be available for students with disabilities that impact reading or
seeing:

MP3 audio test format: Audio version of test, delivered on a flash
drive. Allows student with reading or visual impairments to listen to the
test. Get practice tests by downloading [Opens in New Window]redesigned SAT
MP3 files or [Opens in New Window]PSAT 10 MP3 files.
Assistive technology-compatible test format: Digital test form,
delivered on a flash drive, for use with screen readers and other assistive
technology. Practice with assistive technology: Get [Opens in New
Window]redesigned SAT practice tests in optimized Microsoft Word documents
or [Opens in New Window]PSAT 10 practice tests in optimized Microsoft Word
documents.

Please note that the cassette test form will no longer be available once the
new formats are instituted. Students who are currently approved for cassette
will be provided an MP3 audio test form

By the way, the spelling error on beginning came from the College Board
website - I did not type it.

Mary

Is there any screen reader accessible material on preparing for the SAT Math
and physics tests?

Are you talking about the SAT subject test or are you talking about the
regular SAT test?
