Hi Nicholas,

The Microsoft Word ribbon is your friend. I use comments a fair bit. Use the
ribbon navigation keys to move from comment to comment. When you use the
ribbon keys, you land inside the comment and can right click  such that you
will get an option to edit the comment. Once you have completed editing, you
hit the escape key. 

To view comments quickly, do the following.
1. Get to brows mode.
2. Set the view to annotations.
3. Scroll in the resulting tree view.
