Hi Nicholas,

Sorry I am responding late. It appears that you no longer need to invoke a specific editing function to alter the text of a comment. You navigate to the comment with the ribbon as you have done and then use the left and right arrow keys to edit the text of the comment. Hit the escape key to leave the comment. I have tested this in Word 2016.
