[BlindMath] Geometry

Hi Allen,

Go to: http://www.tsbvi.edu/videos-webinars/mathematics and click on:
Low Tech Math Tools and you will find tons of videos on various tools for
doing Geometry non-visually.

Then below that under Math Concepts, you will find three geometry-related
videos that you might find helpful.
Parallel Lines
Perpendicular Lines
Skew Lines

I need to do more videos because I haven't done one specifically on the
APH beam compass (actually it is included in the Perpendicular Lines
video), which they call the Tactile Compass for Math and Art. However, you
will find a quick tip video at:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dpe6t0eZ21E

I also need to do one specifically on the Tactile calipers (one with
precision to 1/16 inch, and one with precision to 1 mm) (actually it's
also included in the Parallel Lines video), which will soon be available
at APH. However, you would find more detailed information here at least on
the "inches" one:
http://www.squirreldevices.com/tactile-caliper-inches/

Okay, that should give you a good start!!

Best wishes,
Susan

Subject: [BlindMath] Geometry

Hi,

I have a completely blind high school student taking Geometry who is
having difficulty learning the material in class and is seeking non-visual
outside material as a backup plan for class. Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Allen
