Actually, I am the statistics student! I am pursuing a Ph.D. In industrial and organizational psychology. I have not had a stats class in more than 30 years. However, this is the first time as a blind student. I have spoken to Dr. Bell about what they use at Louisiana Tech. The university typically uses SPSS in psychology and social sciences. However, he has a license for SAS and is willing to tutor me in its use. I know I have more stats class ahead of me in this program and want to make sure that I can run data and interpreted in the best way possible.
Also, with regard to the student in Colorado trying to use magnification for mathematics. I might also suggest that we introduce him to other students in the STEM fields. I know there are lots of students and professionals living in Colorado who are blind and quite smart!
