[BlindMath] ti84 question for higher level math class

I need to contact some of my undergraduate mentees to even see what is being
used in Calculus classes now. When I did my sequence, plus Differential
Equations, Linear Algebra, and Statistics back in the 1980's, I wasn't
allowed to use a calculator in any of them.
I do know that the graphing calculators are now allowed to be used in many
classes, but it will be interesting to me just to find out how the sequence
is being taught now. All of my mentees lately have been sighted, but I
might get a blind mentee who may need to know as well.

Subject: [BlindMath] ti84 question for higher level math class

Hi list,
I was told by one of my math professors that my talking ti84 calculator
isn't good for higher level math class like calculus. Is this true?
Let me give some background. I am studying computer science and I will need
to complete calculus 1 for my major. My current math level is advanced
algebra.
Please let me know your thoughts on this manner.
Thanks
Taylor
