Dear list members,
I came across that editor on https://accessibility.pearson.com/resources/aee/index.php
Although I find it fascinating - Braille input including emulation on the QUERTY, no need for configuring any Braille tables in your screen reader etc. -, I got the impression that it is just a demo of those great functionality - no possibility for saving your equations, converting them to other formats, mixing them with text to get a mathematical notebook, visualizing them, and so on.
Did I miss something here? Is there a more complete product using the technology which, as I said, seems to be really great? Or is there an open source code base which one may build upon?
If someone has an idea, I would be more thatn grateful to get information - I planned to demonstrate the tool on a computer camp for young people next week, wehre I would be happy to show more than is displayed on the page.
Is someone from Pearson here on the list who might be willing to talk on development plans or so? Would be more than sad if this great project would have been abandoned.
Looking forward to your answers,
with kind regards,
Bernhard Stoeger from Austria
