Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any recommendations for reading and writing Nemeth on
iPads? I'm on iPadOS 15, and I'm currently using a Brailliant BI 40X.
I have reading pretty much sorted. I can read equations from a variety of
sources, and the Nemeth is mostly good. My primary concern at the moment is
that VoiceOver won't include any parentheses in its braille translation.
I've tried adjusting my braille settings and my verbosity settings, but
I've had no luck. I'm looking at MathML in an EPUB format and the sample
expressions from the MathJax website. When I read the same content with
JAWs, the Nemeth is better.
I'm also looking for a good way for students to write in Nemeth and then
have that content converted to print. JAWS does this very well with
Microsoft Word, but I'm struggling to find a comparable alternative for
iPad users. Desmos will accept Nemeth entry, but I'm hoping to find a way
for students to show their work in a multi-step problem.
I'm all ears! Thanks for your help.
