If I remember correctly, there's an NVDA add-on for Notepad++. I don't 
know how useful it would be to you.

I would suggest running a command such as latexmk to convert the LaTeX 
source files to PDF format.

You could also use TeX4ht or other tools (e.g., Lwarp) to generate HTML.
