[BlindMath] BlindMath Digest, Vol 208, Issue 11

Hello,

Thank you so much for your response. We tried installing office 2016 but the error persisted, very surprisingly, with JAWS 2022 and NVDA.

For example, Fractions entered through the math equation editor are misread. Something like 3 over 5 would be read as “3 5” or 35.”

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
All the best,
Dana

Dear Dana,

   1. As far as I know, NVDA started recognising and reading math equations
from Word 2016 onwards (not completely, but partially). Hence, it might not
be reading the math equations in Office 2010.
   2. For Word 2019 (on the system where NVDA couldn't read), check
the NVDA settings and confirm if it has the UI setting set to always. If
the settings are not set to always, then NVDA may be unable to render and
   read math accurately.

I hope this helps. Feel free to let me know if you need any details on these.

Regards,
