Hello,
I agree with this message and the first steps that he suggested.
VSCode has a lot of shortcuts, and also has the palete to find things that you don't remember the shortcut, or if it has one, etc.
Extensions are used to help you debug, format, find bugs and another lot of things.
I found that if you have installed latex in your computer, and also have Perl
https://strawberryperl.com/
If you install latexWorkshop it helps you writing latex, which is great and is something that I wanted to find.
If you do ctrl shift m you can see all the errors the file has, move to the error, you have suggestions to correct it... If you pay for it you also can use copilot to correct things with it. Not only it tells you what is wrong with ctrl shift m, it also makes sounds When the line has an error, and says the word error, bug, Warning loudly.
I don't know, the idea of having something where you can write code or LaTeX and where the editor helps you to correct your code in an accessible way it's great. If you need anything concrete where we can help you with sure we can try.

Georgiana

Hi,
VSCode has dedicated accessibility documentation and there are also lots of accessibility resources on the intenet.
Some basics:
When you install VSCode, it will detect if you are using a screen reader and will offer to activate accessibility mode.
you can visit the different sections of the screen with f6;
ctrl+shift+p will open the command pallet wher you can read the list and
key combinations of all possible commands;
ctrl+shift+x will open the extensions section where you can search for
extensions about the languages and tools you might be interested.
HTH,
Dzhovani
