[BlindMath] scientific notebook or something better

Thanks for this informative discussion.

Going back to Scientific Notebook, MacKichan Software stopped selling 
their products in June 2021. However, some of their software, including 
Scientific Word 6.1, is now open source and available on their website. 
You can also include an extra directory for handling Scientific Word 5.5 
files in Scientific Word 6.1. I think that using Scientific Word 6.1 
with the version 5.5 add-in might produce files compatible with Duxbury DBT.

I have also come across a program called LyX that seems somewhat similar 
in concept to Scientific Notebook. Described as a WYSIWYM (what you see 
is what you mean) editor, it is available at:

https://www.lyx.org/

For viewing the math in either Scientific Word 6.1 or LyX, you need to 
install MikTeX as well for parsing the LaTeX.

Has anyone here tried using either of these programs with Duxbury DBT?
