[BlindResearch] Introduction and question

I have encountered this problem in the past. In my experience, it is mostly coming from people with good intentions who are trying to help, but may somehow have acquired the idea that there is one “correct” way to refer to any disability group.

I have had success explaining to reviewers that you have considered this issue, and have particular reasons for choosing your terminology. It could also help to point reviewers towards places where your terminology is being used by a particular group, or to include a footnote in your final paper that explains your reasoning around terminology.
