Good Morning!

The American Foundation for the Blind annually awards the Corinne Kirchner
Research Award to a researcher in the field of blindness who has a record
of producing innovative and important findings in the blindness field. We
are currently soliciting nominations for the 2020 award. If you know
someone who deserves to be recognized for their contributions to blindness
research, we encourage you to nominate them here:
https://www.afb.org/about-afb/events-and-awards/corinne-kirchner-research-award/2020-call-nominations
.

Qualifications for the Award:

Qualified candidates are individuals who have, through their published
work, made groundbreaking contributions to the field of blindness and low
vision. The work must address topics related to blindness or low vision and
have been recently published in a peer-reviewed journal or scholarly
publication.

The award is intended to recognize research that employs a novel approach
or investigates a new area of inquiry with the potential to impact policy
or systems change.

Research that reflects innovative methods or inquiries will receive
favorable consideration.

Thank you,
Sarah
