[BlindRUG] starting from scratch

Hello All, 

I am a student at the Louisiana center for the blind. I am trying to learn
how to use R through the command line. I have been trying to use the texts
on the mailing list website and others I found on the web but to no avail. I
am starting from scratch. I am new to the command line and the R program.
Does anyone have any recommendations to resources I may use as a beginner to
learn how to use R in the terminal? If so I would greatly appreciate it.
