Hello,

I know that People use R with Jupyter Notebook so I thought maybe someone here can help.

I am using the latest update of Anaconda (2023.09), which has JupyterLab version 3.36 and Notebook version 6.54. I tried to install the latest versions using the -c conda-forge option. However, after Anaconda Prompt trying for nearly half an hour, it says 0 installations. There are lots of incompatible package messages. I'm not sure how to update Jupyter if I'm using Anaconda.

I tried putting -conda-forge at the top to prioritize it for searching packages, but I still haven't been able to update Jupyter Lab and Notebook. Does anyone have any suggestions? I did install them using pip but they were removed once I updated Anaconda.

What would you advise in this case? I'm unsure what conflicts Jupyter Lab 4 may cause in my Python environment on Anaconda.

Also, if anyone has tips and tricks for understanding the visual interface of Jupyter Lab/Notebook and effectively using them with screen readers, please share.

Many thanks,
Khalid
