[Blindtlk] NFB Training Centers

As many people who discover the NFB learn, the NFB operates three
blindness training centers: one in Minnesota, one in Colorado, and one
in Louisiana. All three centers are often referred to in the same
breath, and they all three seem to be modeled on federation
philosophy.
Yet, I've occasionally gotten the vibe, both directly and indirectly,
that the Louisiana Center is sometimes held with slightly more regard
than the other two centers, primarily with respect to cane travel and
cane technique. And I'm not exactly sure why, If at all.
The Braille Monitor has recently highlighted a series of articles on
the differences between the centers, spending an issue looking at each
center in detail. Maybe I need to reread it; but If anyone can offer
their personal thoughts or feelings on the three centers and which
center might have an edge in certain areas over another, I'd be glad
to hear them.
Thanks in advance,
Brice
