While I am glad this is getting resolved, I am also confused.  If this isn't a blindness issue, and it seems that it is not, what 
role is Jennifer Simpson of AAPD playing?

This sounds like an issue for her Better Business Bureau, or Public Utilities Commission or the equivelent.
