[Blindtlk] Grilling question

Mary,
As with any activity, there is always the chance of injury. I have been
burnt on more than one occasion, but it doesn't keep me from doing what I
enjoy! In fact, while I was smoking the pork last week, a hot coal dropped
out of the fire box. I was being a little too nonchalant and wasn't wearing
shoes. I stepped on the hot coal and it got stuck between my toes.
Fortunately, the tub of wet wood was right next to the fire box, so I stuck
my foot in the water immediately. I don't even have a blister!
One way to keep the fire down is to have a spray bottle of water on hand
to put out the fire. Flare-ups are bound to occur as the meat cooks and the
fat drips onto the hot coals.

Marion
