Hello:
In answer to your question, I was born blind. I was born totally
blind, but I've had a little bit of vision since I aged. Now, I
don't try to use negative thoughts about blindness at all, I am
just expressing my view points as a blind person. Thank you,
though, for your thoughts.

>Humberto,

>In your message, with respect to your feeling your girlfriend's
face, you say, in part:

>	" I've done that once with my girlfriend. A trusted adult
was guiding us, and we didn't have any problems."

>	Huh? Why would you two need guidence in feeling each others
faces? If she didn't mind you feeling her face, well, why
would you need careful guidence? Just take your hand and
run it over her face. I am a little disturbed by something
else that seems to happen in both your messages. You seem
to be very much afraid of making any mistakes or doing
something wrong. Almost as if you think you're going to be
punished or struck with thunder and lightining if you make
an enozent mistake about something or other. From the tone
of your message, I gather that you are newly blinded; and,
it has only been recently that you lost your sight. Is this
correct?

>A slight sense of insecurity seems to be showing up in your
messages which would seem to suggest that you've got some very
negative notions about blindness that you need to get rid of.
