[Blindtlk] Eye Poking

I too had the habit when I was small. Very occasionally, I still find myself
doing it, but not in public, which means I must have control. I don't really
understand the gratification. I have never seen. Some say it simulates some
part of vision, but I don't think that is true. My family, especially my mom
really worked hard to get me to stop and the things she did worked and I am
glad she helped me realize it was a very unbecoming habit. I do not engage
in rocking. The snapping my fingers thing for echolocation, I have done
that. I don't see what the difference is in doing that and listening to your
cane as it taps the ground for sound cues. Interesting that so many of us
have remnants of this habit.
