Hi James,

My books are provided through the disability services office of my university. They are provided on disk, usually in a PDF format, but sometimes in a word file as well

Subject: [Blindtlk] Getting Text Books Recorded...

Dear friends,

Does anyone have any suggestions for resources for having text books
recorded? I am about to undertake the challenge of going back to school
after almost 30 years! My objective is to acquire a Bachelor Degree. The
trouble, is that several of the text books that are required for the chosen
program that I have selected, is only available in regular published text.
Are there any organizations/services that will record these books for me, if
I supply the books? I am thinking of something that would end up like the
Talking Books that are offered through the national library, or something
kind of like those.

Thank you so very much for your help in this matter, and I sincerely
appreciate all of your assistance!
