[Blindtlk] Do high partials (legally blind) use a cane?

Hi, I am not in your type of situation right now, however, I was,25 years 
ago.  With RP I could still see fairly well, so I did not use a cane for the 
same reasons you state.  I did face a couple of situations where I almost 
got beat-up for bumping into someone, and I definitely would have saved 
myself the embarrasement and touchy situation if I had been using a cane.

For the last 23 years I have used a white cane and I have also had two guide 
dogs.  I now am strictly a came user and I look back and wished I had used 
one a lot sooner than I did.
