[Blindtlk] Convention in Orlando for 5 years

Bryan,

I feel compelled to express my concern about the fact that nearly every comment you make about our organization seems to be negative. Your posts seem to indicate that you feel our leaders are dictators and are not on the up and up,, that our practices, such as the drafting of resolutions and so forth are a waste of time. Almost every post I see from you is a negative or derisive comment about the NFB.

My question is this. If you really feel that way, if you are convinced that our leaders are dictators, that our business is not conducted above board, that our practices and efforts mean nothing, then why are you here? If you really feel that way about our organization then why don't you get out of it instead of constantly running us down. 

There is no way that the leaders, or the organization by democratic vote, is going to make decisions that please every one of our thousands of members each and every time.  But that does not mean that the leaders are dictators or that they are out for themselves. We are a democratic organization. If you want change, then take positive steps to effect that change by working with fellow Federationist, while understanding that you may or may not end up in the democratic majority. If all you can do is downgrade the organization, then why not get out of it?

I just know that I love our organization, all that it stands for  and all that we have accomplished. Have I been happy with or understood every single decision that has been made by the organization? No. But, my agreement with and commitment to  our mission has never wavered, and I never believed that I was subject to dictatorship. I find these repeated hostile references very offensive. Not only are they untrue, they are  nonproductive. Have you ever requested an appointment with Dr. Mauer or other federation leaders to discuss your feelings?

because national thinks nobody wants to be away at that time and the hotel 
rates are cheaper and what they want is the rule.
