[Blindtlk] Broken cctv

Dear Mary,

I have a CCTV I no longer can use that is in great condition and I am
willing to sell, if you are interested. It is a Telasensory "Voyager black
and white and has had the power supply replaced with a new one and upgraded
image processor.
I have stopped using it as I have no useful vision left. I was looking to
get $400 for it as it cost $2,989 new.
We could work out something I am sure.
On the other hand, some states have programs to help disabled people buy
their own equipment such as Florida.
The NFB also has a 3% loan program for the purchase of technology up to
about $4,000.
Curtis Chong runs the program and you can get the paperwork from him or the
NFB national center in Baltimore.
Another approach is to ask your local Lion's Club for help in getting your
old one fixed or a new one. They can tap into funds from the Lion's Club
Foundations to help with such things.
Some of the local Lighthouses also run a equipment loan program and you
might get a loaner from one of them for the asking.
You can even run an ad in your local newspaper and see if someone will get
you one or loan you one that a relative of their's once used.

Where there is a will there is a way.

David Evans, NFBF and GD Jack.
