In my opinion, there’s no love lost for the ACB with many (though not
most) Federationists, but having tried to work with the ACB once
before, there are more than a few very vocal antagonists in their
camp. They are not restrained in any way, and indeed they seem to be
supported and sometimes even quietly encouraged.

It’s definitely a two-sided affair, but I wonder how much of it on
our side is a reaction to the blatant vindictiveness on theirs?

Things like trying to de-fund Newsline in various states because it
is an NFB program. Or the frequent and very public accusation
(always made without any proof) of criminal wrongdoing by the
Federation and its leadership in particular. I can go on, but
there’s really no good purpose to doing so.

The point is that a good number of Federationists who have been the
target of this stuff are pretty sore about it. And they’ve got a
right to be, if you want my opinion.

Even I was a target, just for trying to open a dialogue—and I went
there basically to ask one question whose affirmative answer would
have me supporting their position on a major issue. I got that
answer, eventually, and did support their position. But I could not
support their behavior.
