Mary,
The email got a response because it was spammed to half a dozen or
more NFB lists, and was explicitly a recruiting ad for an ACB
chapter. It was posted by a person who had been warned about posting
inappropriate things to NFB lists on several occasions. So Dave gave
him the boot. Likely, he posted the message saying so because he did
not want 17 requests for him to kick the guy out of our lists after
he had already done so.
The discussion has largely nothing to do with Alexander or his effort
to start an ACB chapter anymore. It’s wandered, as these things are
wont to do. The ACB is still part of the general theme of the
discussion, but even that I think is petering out. All that could be
said about the NFB and ACB has been said (and probably a thousand
times over).
The history has already passed us by. The future hasn’t been written
yet. Right now, what matters is right now.
