[Blindtlk] IPad?

The iPad has its own built-in speech system. It is called Voice over, and comes as a part of the device. This means that once you buy your I device, you also have speech for it. Windows systems you get to buy the computer and software, and then spend an additional thousand or so for something to make it work. I use the I devices, a system with JAWS at work and with WindoeEyes at home. I do like getting everything to make my device work as a part of the device, and at the same price as everyone else.

Maybe a stupid question, but do you use Jaws with the IPad or I have heard that Apple has it's own built in voice programs.

I'm rather fond of mine. I rarely carry a laptop anymore. What's the point of doing so? It's just a bigger brick that is neither quick enough to accomplish a task at a moment's notice nor really necessary for bigger writing tasks if I carry a keyboard.
I have a real computer at home I can use from a coffee shop, why do I need the extra weight of carrying it with me? Usually I don't.
