Okay you bargain shopper guys and gals,

I've been working on my grocery ad mission. Then I got distracted by
coupons...and now I've found how the two can merge to get awesome
deals! And your screen reader will have no problem.

this is a link for the store ad at Wal-Mart for this week. Below each
store sale item are various coupons you can use to get further savings
for that item. I haven't figured out how to handle paper coupons found
in the newspaper for example. However loads of coupons can be printed
right from your computer, making it extremely easy to know what coupon
is for what.

I'm still trying to figure out if all ads for nationwide stores are the
same. I also don't know if the above link lists all the sale items for
this week or just the ones that have coupon match ups. There's quite a
list though. It's a good start.

Still I think the stores themselves need to make their ads accessible.
another question for the tech savvy folks...Can mobile devices like
smart phones that can browse the internet handle flash? I'm wondering
if making store ads more easily viewed by mobile devices for sighted
users could be a selling point for us too?

One more question, I haven't used Newsline in a long while. I read my
local paper on the internet. anyway way back, when I did use Newsline
the ads weren't available. Is this still the case? If so is there some
reason why they aren't available? I'm guessing because they come from a
different source than the actual newspaper company. What would it take
to get grocery and other ads on Newsline?

Oh and I did find a local radio talking book service. It's even
available on the internet and does have time slots for grocery and other
ads, however it's for Omaha. I'm not sure if there will be ads for
stores I have in my small town, but I'm going to listen and find out.

Other ideas?
Julie
