[Blindtlk] I device questions

I have the iPad 3 with a blue tooth keyboard in a case so it resembles a
mini laptop. My phone is a very old inaccessible model, but I'm not a
big phone person, preferring email, so the iPad was a good choice for me.

I chose the iPad over the phone for two main reasons. first what I
mentioned above, using it more like a laptop. second I occasionally use
a magnifyer ap which makes the iPad into a portable CCTV. It's not
great, but for the random bit of information I want to read it works
fine. The iPhone screen wouldn't be big enough for me to do this.

I think it's mainly screen size preference. There are aps specifically
designed for the iPad, but I think they'd work on any i device. There
are loads of aps designed specifically for the iPhone, but they work on
the iPad just fine.

Something I'm not sure about, but that you might want to check out, is
the available memory capacity of each device. If you're going to be
putting a lot of stuff on there, more memory might be a decision point
for you.

Some may disagree, but unless you need the display screen for something, you can do everything on the phone you can on the pad. The new pads may have a better camera, if that is a concern.

Is this a device anyone would recommend since I already have the iPhone? are there apps for the iPad that are not available for the iPhone? Would it be better to have an iPad to take notes in a meeting or use in church? If I buy one, should I buy the new iPad mini or the older and larger one? I would like one I can easily take with me when I travel. I currently use a Bluetooth keyboard with my phone but am planning to purchase a Braille display. Thank you.
