Okay,
Souds to me like you need to do the folowing to get this to work.
1. Click settings.
2. Click general.
3. Click Accessibility.
4. Click Tripple click on the very right side of the window. This will let you control how tripple clicking the home key works. Double tap on the setting you want and you're good to go.
