Hi,
I don't have the answer to the part of your email about the
caane being repaired, but I know that Revolution has canes
that are graphite. They're pretty light. I have one
myself, and I like it. I don't have much experience with
NFB canes.

Sincerely,
Jasmine

Subject: [Blindtlk] Question About Repairing Canes

Greetings to all,

I have been using one of the newest NFB canes-the folding carbon
fiber-for
right around 3 month now, and just had one of the joints break on
me. The
sections themselves are still in tact, but the joint that holds
two of the
sections together is no longer there.

My question is twofold, I guess. I am first of all wondering
whether these
canes can be repaired, and if so, is it cost effective to do so,
or does it
make more sense to just discard this one and order something
else.

Although I really like the thin, seemingly more attractive style
of this
can, I probably would purchase another one of these if this is
any
indication of their life span. On the other hand, I really
dislike the make
of the backup cane that I have, because it is extremely heavy and
isn't as
sleek looking.

Anyway, any information about repair appreciated.

Thanks,

Diane Graves
