Ello, Sherri. So this obviously can be done, HHas you have done it. This
makes me wonder even more if I have a bum computer. I also, agree, Jim is
helpful, but he also was unfamiliar with Windows 7. I did successfully
install a file which he said you needed, and it allowed me to get into the
game of life, but that's it. Otherwise, Winpoly is somewhere on my program
files, and there are several different ones, (Winpoly 6, Winpoly 5, etc) but
when I try to access them, and I try to extract or unzip files, I get weird
messages like can't produce output file" whatever that means, and I am
blocked. This concerns me too, because I just submitted my application for
BARD, and I understand we have to extract files for specific books in order
to download them. If I can't do that, I'll really throw this computer at
the idiot salesman at Wal-mart who sold me this thing. But thank you,
Sherri, and please get back to me when you find out something.

mark,
I have Jim Kitchen's games, in particular his monopoly, and I have it
installed on windows 7-64bit. I play it, maybe not often these days, but
from time to time with no trouble. I even created my own Harry Potter themed
monopoly board for it. Did you download and install his base games structure
files first? Otherwise, Jim is really helpful. If I remember right, the
problem in the beginning was something about making sure the game files go
in the right place. I'll have to look around in my files and see.

Hello, friends,
Im going to lower the boom, so to speak. Any of you familiar with Jim
Kitchen and his text to speech games? Those of you on these lists who have
heard me whining about Windows 7 and how limited I think it is and are sick
and tired of it, please feel free to tweet me out if there is a tweet
filter. Jim Kitchen has wonderful free games, including my all-time
favorite, monopoly. Yes, I am probably addicted. Anyway, I have been
trying and trying to download it properly and I have become convinced that
it is not workable with Windows 7. Of course it is possible that my
settings are off, which would be nothing new with this machine, I suppose
thats what you get when you purchase a computer at Wal-Mart. When I try to
unzip files, I get weird messages such as cant create an output file and
it doesnt work. I challenge anyone to tell me that this is workable.
Dont mind my tone, Im just frustrated that the idiots at Microsoft
inadvertently limited us this way. So, do you have any ideas, and if not,
does anyone know of a talking speech-friendly monopoly game? Also, does
anyone know how to get autocomplete on Windows live mail. Thank you, before
my JAWS runs out.
