[Blindtlk] Zero or low gravity environments was RE: The UnfriendlySkies -- What happened?

But isn't the tapping for your benefit and not for the benefit of any other
passerby who might hear it, regardless of level of gravity?

In space nobody can hear you tap!

How would blind people deal with zero G or low G environments?I would
imagine it would be difficult. One of those great things about gravity is
that you can use it to tap your cane and that you don't fly off in any
unknown direction.

Dear Mike,

I still have hope for indoor navigation apps as long as I can get direction,
position location, distance and points of interest information and maybe a
audio description of the area, its shape, size and location of Poi's within
it, it may give me enough info to go on instead of using a sighted guide.
If I can find my gate, know if it is on the left or right, ahead of me or
behind me, how far and maybe have a method of telling me if I am veering off
cores to the left or right, it could work for me.
Afterall, I never thought that we would see a way that we could use a touch
screen interface either until Apple did it with the I-Phone.
Now I use one. See you can teach an old dog new tricks as long as he is
willing to learn and has an open mind.
I think that one day we will have the technology that will guide us around
every good as sighted people do now.
I know that cars can and will be able to drive themselves and that Blind
people will own and use them someday.
I have seen many amazing things happen in my lifetime and I just hope that I
live to see us land people on Mars and have a base on the Moon.
Heck, I would like to live to be a tourist to the Moon, just to see how my
Lunar Rovers have held up to the elements of space since they were parked
for the last time after Apollo Missions 15, 16 and 17.
