[Blindtlk] Using G-Mail more affectively?

Peter,
You might want to raise this question on the GUI-Talk list as there may be more people who have worked with the web interface.
I've used it but have not depended upon it to organize mail into folders. However, you might also want to read the help files on
creating and using labels because it is a somewhat different approach than using folders although it accomplishes much the same
thing.
Another approach that you might use is to make an IMAP connection through Outlook rather than a POP3 connection. This kind of
connection leaves your messages stored in folders on the GMail server. Any computer you use with an IMAP connection will see the
same folders and the same messages. You can still look at your mail through the web interface if you need to as well. My old
Windows Mobil 6 smart phone supported IMAP as well, so I would think your I Devices would as well. You also don't have to use
Outlook to do this. Windows Live Mail isn't too bad to use and it is free, and of course many use Thunderbird.
If you are comfortable with the web interface, though, that is the simplest in that you can use it from anywhere without any
setup. I have just never gotten real comfortable with web interfaces for mail because they tend to be cluttered. Still, try your
question on GUI-Talk. I think you have been subscribed there before, but if you are not subscribed, go to
