If you are using a straight cane, and you are sitting, put the cane at a slant. It makes it less likely that they will mistake it for a pole.

Subject: [Blindtlk] Grabbing Cane Tops On The Bus

I've had constant problems with this lately in the Chicago area. Is this common? I've tried to respectly deal with this, but it is getting frusturating. Any tips? Thanks for the help.
