[Blindtlk] Blindness and Singleness

I had a really hard time also finding someone. I am happily committed
now and have a great relationship. I am with another blind person and I
really like that because we know the things that each other deals with.
I was also married before to a sighted person, but he was verbally
abusive and controlling. I think it was just the way he was though and
it didn't have to do with me being blind. There are sighted people out
there that will accept you for who you are, but they are few and far
between. I can't tell you how many times I'd get rejected when a guy
found out I was blind. A lot of them think they'll have to take care of
us and that's just simply not true. Some will learn, but the rest never do.
