That's a great idea Cheryl.  I think each division should write something 
similar for the  Monitor.  It will help those who are new to  the federation 
decide which  divisions fit them best. Since it's archived on the site, it 
will be there for a long time to  answer people's questions about "What's 
this group about?" I came this year with two newbies and  they  didn't 
understand how things worked.  One thought you had to pay dues just to 
attend the convention meeting, and the other wasn't sure which occupational 
group was best for her.  Thankfully they are now both  Federationists and 
plan to attend next year as well.
