Hello friends,

Well as I wait to see if I can correct the recording level volumes on the computer that I previously wrote about, I thought that I’d dig out an old lap top that was hidden in a closet. This machine also has Windows XP Professional. It has the correct recording volume controls that I need, so I thought that I’d use it as a kind of an emergency backup. But even with this machine, I am having trouble just getting some basic work done! It is now 1:13 in the morning, and I still don’t have a computer for work tomorrow! Please help!!!

This machine is not equip for the Internet, no anti-virus and such. It has simply been used around the office without requiring an Internet. So I figured that I would dig out one of my older copies of JAWS (5.0), which should be OK for now, and only requires the installation of the authorization key, rather than the newer versions of JAWS which require Internet registration. I loaded JAWS 5.0, and life was a beautiful place. But when I shut down and rebooted, it said that I would have to enter the authorization key again. I did this like 4 times, and each time is said that I had successfully copied the authorization key to the computer, but when I shut down, it doesn’t retain the authorization. So now I’m stuck with using this computer in 40 minute demo mode! Does anyone know how I can get this JAWS to retain the authorization, and thereby allowing me to get out of demo mode?

Thank you so very much once again!
